IP Address Ranges<\/strong>\u00a0or subnets inform what IP addresses your system will accept when importing equipment.<\/p>\n

IP Address Ranges<\/strong> can be entered manually under\u00a0 Network > BMU Overview<\/strong> by clicking on the name of an existing BMU<\/strong> and using the green\u00a0Add New IP Address Range<\/strong> button. If no BMU<\/strong> currently exists in your system, the Powercode Support team can assist you in creating an appropriate BMU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Basic Fields<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • RMUID:<\/strong> ID for BMU device. Ignore if BMUs have not been added<\/li>\n
  • Name:<\/strong> Identifier of your choosing<\/li>\n
  • StartIP:<\/strong> First IP in range<\/li>\n
  • EndIP:\u00a0<\/strong>Last IP in range<\/li>\n
  • Whitelist: <\/strong>When enabled allows internet access to customers in non-active status.<\/li>\n
  • Network Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Associate address range to network location (optional)<\/li>\n
  • Type:\u00a0<\/strong>Restricts usage for equipment to: Any, Customer, Infrastructure<\/li>\n
  • VLAN:\u00a0<\/strong>VLAN information if range uses VLAN, ie “1-4096” (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    DHCP Fields<\/h3>\n

    Only necessary for ranges employing DHCP<\/p>\n

    • DHCP Server:<\/strong> Enabled or Disabled<\/li>\n
    • Default Gateway:<\/strong> Last IP address of the Default Gateway for users in this range<\/li>\n
    • Subnet Mask:\u00a0<\/strong>If masks extend past end of range they cannot encompass part of another range.<\/li>\n
    • Lease Time:\u00a0<\/strong>Defaults to\u00a086400<\/li>\n
