By default,\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Customer Groups\u00a0<\/strong>can only be modified by users with\u00a0Administrator<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Owner<\/strong>\u00a0User Permissions.<\/em><\/p>\n

Customer Tags<\/h1>\n

Powercode allows you to add any number of identifying\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong>\u00a0to your\u00a0Customer<\/strong>\u00a0accounts.<\/p>\n

Custom Customer Tags<\/strong>\u00a0Enable:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Sending mass emails to\u00a0Customers<\/strong>\u00a0with specific\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Write\/Request\u00a0Custom Reports<\/strong>\u00a0regarding\u00a0Customers<\/strong>\u00a0with specific\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Trigger\u00a0Custom Alert Banners<\/strong>\u00a0at the top of the\u00a0Customer Overview<\/strong>\u00a0for all\u00a0Customers<\/strong>\u00a0with specific\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Display all\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong>\u00a0on the\u00a0Customer Overview.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Creating\/Editing Customer Tags:<\/h3>\n

    Navigate to\u00a0Admin Mode > Accounts > Customer Tags<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Here you can add\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong>\u00a0or edit and delete existing\u00a0Customer Tags.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    To add a new\u00a0Customer Tag<\/strong>\u00a0enter the name of the\u00a0Customer Tag\u00a0<\/strong>in the\u00a0New Tag<\/strong>\u00a0field and click the\u00a0Add\u00a0<\/strong>button.<\/p>\n

    Adding Customer Tags to Customer Accounts:<\/h3>\n

    Navigate to the\u00a0Customer<\/strong>\u00a0account. Then click the\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0button next to the text\u00a0Account Profile.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Between\u00a0Group<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Account Type<\/strong>\u00a0fields will be the option to enter\u00a0Customer Tags.<\/strong>\u00a0Scroll to the bottom of the screen and save any changes.\u00a0 Only\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong>\u00a0currently present in the system will be available for assignment.<\/p>\n

    Customer Groups<\/h1>\n

    Each\u00a0Customer<\/strong>\u00a0may be added to a single\u00a0Customer Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    All functionality available to\u00a0Customer Tags<\/strong>\u00a0is available to\u00a0Customer Groups:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Sending mass emails to\u00a0Customers<\/strong>\u00a0with specific\u00a0Customer Groups<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Write\/Request\u00a0Custom Reports<\/strong>\u00a0regarding\u00a0Customers<\/strong>\u00a0with specific\u00a0Customer Groups<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Trigger\u00a0Custom Alert Banners<\/strong>\u00a0at the top of the\u00a0Customer Overview<\/strong>\u00a0for all\u00a0Customers<\/strong>\u00a0with specific\u00a0Customer Groups<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Display all\u00a0Customer Groups<\/strong>\u00a0on the\u00a0Customer Overview.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Customer Groups also Enable:<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Restriction of Services to certain Customer Groups (under\u00a0Admin Mode > Accounts > Services<\/strong>)\n
          \n
        • If you can only provide higher-speed links to a geographical area, you might restrict your higher-speed\u00a0Service<\/strong>\u00a0to specific Customer Groups.<\/li>\n
        • For FCC reporting and finances it typically makes sense to have separate services for business and residential customers.\u00a0 In this case, you may want to restrict residential and commercial\u00a0Services<\/strong>\u00a0to the proper groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Restricting User Customer visibility to certain Customer Groups (under\u00a0Admin Mode > Config > Users<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Creating\/Editing Customer Groups:<\/h3>\n

          Navigate to\u00a0Admin Mode > Accounts > Customer Groups<\/strong><\/p>\n
