Request Powercode Link installation

Powercode Link installation is currently performed by Powercode Support. Do not install or update Link yourself unless Powercode Support specifically instructs you to do so.

To schedule an installation, contact support@powercode.com and be ready to provide SSH access to the target server.

Before contacting support

Prepare a server that meets these minimum system requirements:

RequirementMinimum
Operating systemDebian 13 or Ubuntu latest LTS server
CPU2 cores
RAM4 GB
Disk20 GB available storage
Network1 network interface

Prepare the access details Powercode Support will need:

  • SSH credentials for an account with sudo or root access.
  • The server hostname or IP address and SSH port.
  • Any required VPN, bastion host, firewall allowlist, or maintenance-window details.
  • Internet access from the server to pull container images from the Powercode registry.
  • Network access for any DHCP, SNMP, ICMP, or management networks this Link host will serve or inspect.

If you plan to use a trusted browser certificate, also prepare:

  • A DNS name that points to the Link host.
  • Ports 80 and 443 reachable from the certificate authority.
  • An administrative email address for Let’s Encrypt.

What to send

Email support@powercode.com to request installation. Include:

  1. Your company name and primary contact.
  2. The Link server hostname or IP address.
  3. SSH access details, or instructions for securely sharing SSH credentials.
  4. Any VPN, bastion host, firewall allowlist, or access-window requirements.
  5. The DNS name you want to use for the Link web interface, if available.

What Powercode Support will do

Powercode Support will install and configure Link on the target server, including:

  1. Checking the operating system and required commands.
  2. Generating local secrets and runtime environment files.
  3. Creating required runtime directories.
  4. Logging in to the configured container registry.
  5. Pulling the configured container images.
  6. Starting the Link services.
  7. Providing the browser URL and initial sign-in instructions.

After installation

After Powercode Support completes the installation, open the Link URL they provide in a browser.

If the server is using a self-signed TLS certificate, your browser may show a certificate warning until a trusted certificate is configured.

Updates

Powercode Link updates are also coordinated through Powercode Support at this time. Contact support@powercode.com when you need an update or if Support notifies you that a new release is available.

Installation help

If you cannot reach the Link web interface after Support completes installation, contact support@powercode.com with the Link URL, the time you tried to connect, and any browser error message you saw.
